Ilm oli peaagu super, ainuke segav faktor oli kõva tuul. Samas jooksmiseks on vist iga ilm parem kui kuumus. Jooksin veepudelita (mul on muidu mõnus Karrimor ringjas pudel) ja harjutasin joogipunktidega. See on siiani jätkuvalt nõrgim osa, minu jaoks on joogipaus täpselt seda, paus. Sest jooksu pealt joomine on minu jaoks välistatud.
Mul on tossude ostmine keeruline.
Homsest uue hooga. Maraton ootab.
Today was the first running competition of this year (apart from triathlon with 2km), Tartu Kevadjooks. I ran 10km with my new personal best, 43.20 :) (previous record 45.55). I wouldn`t have believed I could manage that even though I have trained according to plan.
The weather was almost ideal, apart from quite strong wind. Although I guess for running any weather is better than heat. I ran without my water bottle (usually I have my comfotable Karrimor bottle) and I practised with drink stops. This is still the weakest part for me because I literally have to stop to drink. But today I managed to take entire 1.5 sips (there were 3 drink stops) without considerably reducing my pace.
And a sad occasion too. I finally decided to say goodbye to my wonderful Asics trainers. Usually my big toe finds its way out at about 500km but these survived wonderfully for 1700km (only the footings were worn out). Buying trainers is quite difficult. When I find a suitable pair I would gladly buy a second pair as well but I don´t know if they are suitable while purchasing. And when I have had time to run a bit, my trainers are usually sold out. This time I was fortunate enough to buy two pairs from SportsDirect :)
Marathon awaits.
