Happy :) 800m personal best

I had an unexpected competition today. Well, found out I`d be running last week and had the chance to run some faster distances, but still. 800 metres this time, Estonian cities summer games and came in third. But not even that is important. My time was 2.27,9, being my personal best :) Couldn`t be more surprised.

Summer is so very close :) Rakvere Night Run

Rakvere Night Run was last Friday. I am actually really happy with the result. Aimed to run it with 50 minutes (10 km that is) but managed with 48,59. But the main thing, it was entitely pressure free. Still a way to go, but I am going to be ready for September.

Exactly one month til my trip to England as I discovered today :) Finland comes before it (got cheap tickets from the run). And I am anxious to find out what will come of my application. Would make things interesting.

Marathon, here I come

Signed up for my first marathon today. So, fingers crossed that I`ll be able to finish on 9th September :)

I have had the idea since last summer, when I started training practically solely for it. I am a bit scared, but determined (stubbornly determined as I tend to be when it comes to things I want) to finish no matter the time. Hope all goes well. First race this year will be on next Friday in Rakvere (night run), this time 10km. And then the third (but second most important) competition this year will be Paide-Türi run in October.

In the meanwhile. Egypt. Andrew Buchan

It has been a while since my last post. Took some time off from everything to write my thesis (which turned out to be for nothing). Anyway. In the meantime..

Visited Egypt, Hurghada, with my mother. Were there for 7 days. This was a trip that was ment for resting not being cultural as I am used to. Though mom wanted to go, so there went nothing. Good food. Walked around a bit. Took photos. Did not get to see the pyramids unfortunately.

Andrew Buchan replied. Sent him a letter to the theatre he was performing in. This is my second letter to him and the first time her relpied.

Finally I managed to see Example. Made two drawings in hope of getting them signed. Ended up with no autograph and lost the drawings. That was heartbreaking.





And then I got to see Michael Bublè. That has to be the best concert I have been to. He was absolutly brilliant. And I was lucky enough to get his abutograph









And met P.C. Damn it is with me and finding the ones who are unavailable.

My 2011

Another year gone. Though I am quite happy with things (even though life is not that easy for a lot of people, me included, but still happy)


So, 2011:
Ran 585 km (from April to the end of August) and 71 hours (from September to the end of the year). Aiming to run a marathon next year.
Made 59 drawings (give or take one or two)
Visited 4 countries (the Netherlands, Sweden [even if it was only Stockholm], Finland [only Helsinki] and Wales)
Saw 2 concerts (Linkin Park in Helsinki and 30 Seconds To Mars in Tallinn. Well I did see up to hmm.. 10`ish Estonian performers as well)
And got to read some incredible (and some not so incredible, maybe even dreadful) books.
Good music
Good TV shows (my newest discovery: Once Upon A Time)
Work was good (had work, even that is good nowadays)
Met some brilliant people in life, online

Of course had some pretty (pretty darn) bad (and depressing) things too, but no point focusing on them. And still waiting for my Prince Charming :)

So quite enjoyable time this year. Let`s see what new year brings

Bublèishious winter

Michael Bublè is coming to Tallinn on 21st April 2012 :) I couldn`t believe my ears when I heard it. And I got my ticket today. Though it was more expensive than Linkin Park`s concert in Helsinki (including the ship and the hotel!) I intend to make a drawing of him and do my very best to get his autograph.

I have been running a lot lately. Intending to run a marathon eventually. But for now 4x1 hour and 2x2 hours per week. I have managed to strain my knee. If it gets worse I..

Example

Lately I have discovered Elliot Gleave (Example). His music that is. I do not listen to that kind of music. At all. But I do adore men with hmm.. low voices. And his voice is divine. And now I can`t stop listening to him.

Elliot is having an European tour next year, but no, he is not coming anywhere near here. Tallinn I mean. Helsinki would do. Riga. But he is going to be in Stockholm. If only I had someone to take with me. I couldn`t possibly go alone. Ohh, I am actually really happy with the way my drawing of him came out. I tweeted it to him as well. Without any reply. Figures

And I hate twitter. Giving the illusion I could actually communicate with some of my idols, just share a few lines but no one replies to me. I just don`t get it. I am always polite, trying to show my support. They reply to everyone else it seems, but I can tweet and get back nothing. The only person who has tweeted back is Ryan Kelly. I just don`t get it.

Tom Riley vol 2

So, after hmm.. two months of waiting I finally was lucky enough to get Tom Riley`s reply :) Not only that, I do already have a letter and an autograph from him, but his latest letter (yes, he was so very kind to write yet again) was even sweeter than the first one. I guess no one could top his letter but himself.

I am so grateful to him. Wish I could tell him. Just saw a girl travel to London to see his play. If only I had enough money to do that. Though that woulnd`t mean I could get to see him. Perhaps one day




And I finished another drawing of him
