|Vicars` Close, Wells|
Edasi viis tee Wellsi, mille peamiseks eesmärgiks oli uuesti külastada Vicars` Close nimelist tänavat. Avastasin selle tänava eelmisel reisil täiesti juhuslikult, meid viidi tegelikult vaatama võimsat Wellsi gooti katedraali.
Vicars` Close on väidetavasti vanim algupäraselt säilinud ehitistega ainult elumajadest koosnev tänav Euroopas. See fakt selgus hiljem.

Hommikul viiest jälle bussi peale ja seiklusele tagasi koju. Järgmise reisini ;)
During our last day I finally managed to photograph an interesting phenomenon we had noticed since the first day. Kind and considerate people leave drinking cups for dogs outside their shops or cafes, etc. I don`t remember where we first saw that and of course these are not in front of every shop but we noticed them virtually in every place we visited.

We didn`t have time to visit Glastonbury Tor
Then we reached Wells. The main reason for this destination was to re-visit Vicars` Close. I discovered this street by chance in 2011 when we were supposed to visit the magnificent Wells cathedral.
I am a curious person, so I walked away from the cathedral and was completely fascinated by this somewhat simple street. I only managed to take a shot that time. Bus tour and all.
When I finally got to Vicar`s Close there was a red car parked in the middle of the street. A red car, calmly parking in the street that I wanted to photograph. Just parking there. Disappointed, I took some shots from both line of houses and turned to leave, taking one sad glace behind. By miracle a door opened, a man got outside, sat into the red car and drove off. I couldn`t believe my luck. I had also managed to scare away two people who had been there first and then there was noone in my way.
Vicars` Close is claimed to be the oldest purely residential street with its original buildings all surviving intact in Europe.
As we had enough time we took a short break in Andover.

Until next time ;)
